Rafy Kourouian - Managing Director

Rafy Kourouian read for an LL.M. in International Business Law, University of Leiden, The Netherlands, as well as for a B.A. with a Major in Economics and Political Science and a Minor in Religious Studies from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

Kourouian's career encompassed a stunt as Managing Director of AECA PRO MENA, an Egyptian-Spanish renewable energy engineering consultancy; Deputy Managing Director at MGRI Group, a corporate restructuring consultancy; Country Manager for ISI Egypt, a subsidiary of ISI Emerging Markets, a Euromoney Institutional Investor Company. At ISI, he also held broader Marketing and Product Management responsibilities for internet-delivered business information databases covering more than 19 countries in the MENA region.

Over the years, Kourouians career has ventured into journalism, where he was first Business Editor and then Managing Editor of the Middle East Times. He also took several economic and development consultancy mandates.


Toygun Onaran - Managing Director

Toygun Onaran has earned his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Yildiz Technical University in 1999. In 2002, he received his MBA degree from the Istanbul Bilgi University. While pursuing his MBA degree, Onaran started to work at Ata Invest as Assistant Director of Research Department in 2000. Onaran is a PhD candidate for Banking at Marmara University. Before moving to London, UK in 2008, Onaran has worked for Garanti Securities and EFG Istanbul Securities in Turkey responsible for both equity research and corporate finance advisory. Onaran worked for KBC Financial products in London, UK and established the research coverage for Turkey. Between 2010-2014, Onaran was Managing Director of Concord International Investments responsible from Concord's Turkey dedicated equity fund and initiating corporate finance deals with Turkish and Egyptian companies. Onaran also provided advisory services to Concord's investment board in New York, US and executive team in Tokyo, Japan.
